No Chicken Soup

Serves 2

Time: 30 Min


2 Cups of water

½ cup of cooked rice

1 Tbsp of vegan chicken “flavored” bullion (or sub water with

veggie broth)

½ package of extra firm tofu

2 Tbsp Vegetable or olive oil*

1 Tbsp Vegeta (Croatian spice blend) sub with poultry seasoning  



  1. Open package of tofu and drain water

  2. Cut tofu into cubes

  3. Set tofu aside wrapped in a clean kitchen towel

  4. Simmer water (or broth) in a pot

  5. Add bullion and Vegeta, mix.

  6. Next, add rice to the pot and set aside until tofu is ready.

  7. In a pan, add 2 Tbsp of oil and fry tofu on medium-high heat until brown on all sides. If you would like to  make this recipe oil free just bake the tofu at 400 degrees in the oven until brown. 

  8. When tofu is ready add to your soup and enjoy!
